My econ book keeps using the word “statutory” and everytime I read the word I can’t help but think of “statutory rape.” I have definitely put a negative connotation behind that word when it isn’t even bad in the slightest… thank you, “statutory rape”

I hate when I’m good at something… and then I decide to “take a break” because, you know, sometimes I just feel too worn out. Problem is… that “break” ends up lasting seasons and seasons until the seasons turn into years.

and when i try to get back into the groove,
i can’t seem to remember how the hell it was done.

i miss my teenage years

I miss never really worrying about anything.
I miss cheating off my friends during chem…and history …. and spanish …. and physics…and english….you get the jist
I miss sneaking out of zero period photography to grab starbucks…and then not returning to school
I miss going to barnes with the pentagon and spending the entire day just reading magazines and books
I miss lying around and asking each other hypothetical questions even though we’ve previously answered those same questions at least 3 times
I miss ditching class with friends and having to explain to the mother why you have 20+ absent days in one quarter
I miss pulling all-nighters to “study” but really ending up just sitting around laughing and eating
I miss talking about inappropriate things with Crystal and Jassie
I miss fighting with my pentagon girls
I miss going to parties with my friends and causing trouble
I miss being able to crawl into my Mama’s arms when I am feeling sad
I miss being young =(

I hate being sick. with a passion. No one wants to be within a 5-mile radius of you. The phlegm in your throat just won’t leave you. And all you want to do is SLEEP a very heavily medicated sleep… but you can’t because you are a college student and life must go on.

Being sick reminds me of the time in high school when my friend and I spread a nasty rumor about a mutual friend. M had been out of school for a good week or so, and when we called to see how he was doing he told us he had a really terrible flu and had barely eaten anything in a week, losing 15 pounds as a result. 15 POUNDS?! C and I were so amazed. Fast forward to the next day. People asked us where M was. C and I, being the evil, conniving beezies that we were, told them….. FAT CAMP. Yes, M was at fat camp and apparently it’s really been working. C and I were born pathological liars… it comes naturally to us… so they believed us.

rumors spread fast.

When M returned to school the following week, people commented, “oh dang, M. Fat camp really worked for you!” M was so confused. If C and I hadn’t had such a good laugh, we might’ve actually felt a twinge of remorse.

While walking to the car, my friend C looked at me seriously and said if she told me something, I couldn’t laugh at her. I promised.
C: Did you know there are seven continents?
Me: YES.
C: O.O you do?! name them!
Me: (okay, this is MY blonde moment of the day) North America, South America, North Africa, South Africa, Asia, Antarctica, and… oh! Alaska!
C:………………SERIOUSLY?
Me: I TAKE THAT BACK I TAKE THAT BACK. North America, South America, Africa, Europe, Antarctica, and…. and… and… and…. AUSTRALIA!
C: DUUUUUUDEEEE HOW DID YOU KNOW THAT????? don’t laugh. but i didn’t know whether we lived in North America or South America, let alone that there WAS a separate north and south. I had no idea we had 7 continents! I thought the EARTH was a continent. DON’T LAUGH!

I wish I could’ve given her a hardER time about it, but I couldn’t, given the fact that I had a momentary brainfart and couldn’t name the 7 continents correctly…less than one week after my GEOGRAPHY midterm, in which we had to draw the world map….
